Trubiquity Signs Agreement to Automate the Use of the Heidelberg CAx Data Quality Manager Software using TRUfusion Enterprise

  (February 14, 2013)

Troy, MI and Mannheim, Germany (PRWEB) February 14, 2013

Trubiquity, a leading global provider of MFT (managed file transfer), process automation and integration software solutions, has signed an agreement to develop TRUfusion Enterprise managed file transfer (MFT) automated workflow solutions that will use the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AGs (Heidelberg) software Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager (HQM) and Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager Configuration Editor (CE). Trubiquitys TRUfusion Enterprise solution helps automate product design data exchange and collaboration processes with internal teams, partners and suppliers. Use of the Heidelberg software will expand TRUfusion Enterprises capabilities by automating the process of checking and improving CAx data in product design and development processes.

The quality of CAx data is a key variable affecting costs throughout the lifecycle of a product. The Heidelberg software products enable companies to quickly and reliably check the quality of their own product and production data and that of their suppliers. Leading companies have selected Heidelberg software to ensure high quality CAx data using predefined and tested best practice routines to reduce errors and lower costs.

Use of TRUfusion Enterprise, in combination with the Heidelberg software, will help OEMs and their suppliers exchange and collaborate with the assurance of high quality and conformant CAx data. For automotive OEMs using CAx data with thousands of suppliers it is vital that the right data of the right quality is shared with the right person at the right time. TRUfusion Enterprise facilitates this automated, reliable and quality CAx data exchange via multiple communication protocols, including OFTP2 and MFT portals, whether the original data is managed in file systems or within PLM systems.

Heidelberg has been using the software itself for its own CAx data checking for around six years. We have turned it into a technology which allows other sectors to also benefit from these products. The Heidelberg CAx Quality Manager & Configuration Editor will help Trubiquity customers manage complex structures and processes over the entire product lifecycle management process chain and to improve CAx data quality by reducing errors and preventing unnecessary reworks, says Hartmut Ball, head of Heidelberg Engineering Consulting.

Martyn Davies, Vice President at Trubiquity, states, We are pleased to formalize Trubiquitys partnership with Heidelberg for this important software. We have already generated significant interest among customers who wish to benefit from using TRUfusion Enterprise with the Heidelberg software in specific automotive and other industry OEM-supply chain situations. I am confident that existing and new TRUfusion Enterprise customers will benefit from having access to this new capability later in 2013.
